Join us at The Dreamland this fall, winter and spring for a multipart repertoire series celebrating the best screenplays of the 21st century! We’ll be in the Main Theater every Monday night (with a break for the holidays in November and December) playing nearly 20 of the Writers’ Guild of America’s best 101 screenplays of the past quarter-century. This series is curated by Josh Gray, The Dreamland’s Director of Creative Programming, and Charley Walters, journalist, longtime Nantucket business owner, and Dreamland board member, who together program the weekly Film for Thought series as well). Just like Film for Thought, this series is FREE to Dreamland members, and each title will be followed by an audience discussion and occasional Zoom conversations with the casts and crews from the films. Don’t miss this opportunity to see these modern classics on the big screen with your friends and neighbors!
The films in this series were selected with deference towards titles with the widest general appeal, keeping in mind film’s positions on the list, and we agreed upon by both curators through a blind selection process.

Nicolas Cage is Charlie Kaufman, a confused L.A. screenwriter

twin brother Donald. While struggling to adapt "The Orchid Thief," by
Susan Orlean, Kaufman's life spins from pathetic to bizarre. The lives
of Kaufman, Orlean's book, become strangely intertwined as each one's
search for passion collides with the others'.
